Measurements

Two sizes only,
measured, not guessed.

A pillow cover that fits and a tablecloth that drapes correctly come down to a few honest numbers, so here they are — in inches and centimeters, with guidance on choosing between them.

What sizes do we make?

Item Inches Centimeters
Pillow cover (all designs) 20 × 20 in 51 × 51 cm
Tablecloth 60 × 90 in 152 × 229 cm

These are cut dimensions, taken flat before the piece is filled or draped. Hand-finished cloth carries a small allowance either way at the seams — normal for textiles sewn one at a time rather than punched out by machine.

Which insert suits a 20 × 20 cover?

A 22 × 22 inch insert. Sizing the insert two inches over the cover is the standard approach in soft furnishing: the extra fill pushes into the corners and the cover reads full rather than slack. A 20 × 20 insert will fit, but expect looser corners and a flatter profile.

Note that our listings are for covers only — inserts are not included, so plan for one if you are starting fresh rather than re-dressing an existing pillow.

Will the 60 × 90 tablecloth fit your table?

It is proportioned for rectangular tables seating six to eight — typically 36 to 42 inches wide. On such a table the cloth falls 6 to 8 inches past the edge on each side, which is the customary drop for everyday dining: enough to drape, not enough to sit in laps.

To check your own table, measure its length and width, then add twice the drop you want to each figure. A 40 × 72 inch table wanting an 8-inch drop needs a cloth of at least 56 × 88 inches, which this size covers with a little to spare.

Why might your piece sit slightly differently from the photo?

Each motif is stamped by hand, so the pattern’s position relative to seams and edges shifts a touch from piece to piece. Measurements hold; the placement of a flower against a corner may not be identical to the photograph. This is the nature of block printed cloth, and it is described here so you can decide with clear eyes rather than discover it at the door.
