Payment
This page names the payment method the store accepts, the moment the charge is made, what shields your card details along the way, and how refunds and disputed charges are handled.
Checkout runs through PayPal. You can pay from a PayPal balance or with a credit or debit card processed through its checkout — no separate account is needed for the card route. All prices are listed and charged in USD.
At the moment you complete checkout. The order confirmation email and the charge should appear within minutes of each other; an order is only created once the payment has gone through, so there is no state in which we hold an unpaid order open.
By never passing through our hands. Card entry happens on PayPal‘s own encrypted checkout, and what returns to us is a confirmation of payment — the full card number is never transmitted to our systems and is not stored on our servers. This is a fact of the architecture, not a policy we could forget to follow.
Declines are issued by the gateway or your bank, not by us, and the usual causes are a typo in the card details, an expired card, or a bank hold on an unfamiliar merchant. Re-enter the details first; if the decline repeats, your bank can see the reason code, which we cannot. No order exists until a payment completes, so a declined attempt leaves nothing behind to cancel.
Back onto the original payment method, within 5-7 business days of the refund being approved. Card issuers sometimes take a few additional days to display the credit on your statement.

A dispute through the bank freezes the money on both sides for weeks, while most problems — a missing parcel, a flawed print, a refund that seems slow — are resolved by us within 1-2 business days. The formal route remains yours to take; it is simply rarely the fast one.
Send the date and amount to hello@maisondeblocs.com and we will check it against our records within 1-2 business days — usually faster than a bank inquiry.
